Vladimir Alyeksyeyevich Gyerasimyenko was a Soviet arms designer who worked at the Arsenal Factory in Kiev.

Vladimir Gerasimeko is best known for creating the VAG-72 and VAG-73 pistols in the 1970s, however he also developed sporting firearms from as early as 1942. He had developed more than 20 prototype firearms and received 7 certificates before his death in 1987. He also developed a caseless cartridge with similar dimensions to 7,62x25mm TT for use in the VAG-72 and VAG-73.
