The Toldi Páncélvadász is a Hungarian tank destroyer developed on the 38M Toldi I chassis. In 1942/43 the Wehrmacht gave 7 Marder II tank destroyers to the Royal Hungarian Army Armoured Corps for use on the Eastern Front. One of the vehicles was given to the Hungarian Institute of Military Science (HTI) for research. Based on the research, Ganz Works produced a prototype based on the now obsolete Toldi I chassis. Despite the need for such a vehicle, the vehicle did not enter mass production.
