The Steyr M9 is an Austrian pistol developed in the late 1990s.

The M9 is the first generation 'medium' size pistol chambered in 9x19mm Parabellum. Other models of this generation are M40 and M357, chambered in .40 S&W and .357 SIG respectively. Later generations received the 'A1' suffix.
