The Steyr AUG A1 (Armee-Universal-Gewehr — Universal Army Rifle) is an Austrian bullpup assault rifle developed in the 1980s from the original AUG.

The AUG A1 entered service in the Austrian military with the name Sturmgewehr 77 (abbreviated StG 77). The designation was also used for the original AUG.
