The SIG SG 550 SR is a Swiss sniper rifle.

Variants

SG 550 "Stgw. 90 / F. ass. 90 5.56mm" Standard full-length production model from 1986, being adopted in 1990. SG 550 SR Sniper version of the SG 550 with different stock and long barrel. SG 550-1 Improved iteration of the SG 550 SR, designed specifically for law enforcement units. Features a unique two-stage trigger pull, and a adjustable folding stock with a riser and butt-pad spacer. No longer in production. SG 551 Carbine version of the SG 550. SG 551-A1 ..? SG 551-P Police version of the SG 551, produced with a Hensoldt 6x42 BL sight and a special cheek riser. SG 551 SWAT Further developed model of the SG 551, featuring a modular rail interface and railed handguard. SG 551 LB Long barreled SG 551, with a 17.9 inch barrel. This allows for the use of a bayonet or grenade launcher device. SG 551-2 SP SWAT ..? SG 552 A "improved" SG 551 which features a further shortened 8.9 inch barrel, and a newer handguard which is ventilated. SG 552-A1 Essentially a conversion for the SG 552 which converts the internals to those of the improved SG 553 model. SG 552-2 ..? SG 552 LB Long barreled SG 552, with a 13.6 inch barrel. This allows for the use of a bayonet or grenade launcher. SG 553 A "further improved" SG 552, that incorporates the recoil spring wrapped around the piston rod. This purportedly counters various reliability issues experienced on previous SG 552 models. SG 553 LB Long barreled SG 553, with a 13.6 inch barrel. This allows for the use of a bayonet of grenade launcher. SG 553 SB ..? SG 553 R A rechambering which converts a standard SG 553 to feed from 7,62x39mm AK compatible magazines. Primarily aimed the Russian civilian market, and is thus semi-automatic only. Derivatives SG 750 Marksman rifle model chambered in 7.62x51mm.
