The Nagant M. 1895 is a Belgian revolver developed in the late 1880s.
A license was given to the Russians allowing them to manufacture the firearm in their factories, the R-95 is the result of this.

Improved single action lock, non-fluted cylinder. Denmark and Norwegian-bound models were double action.
Nagant M. 1884
Model commissioned by the Luxembourgian Army & Gendarme. A second model with cylinder-locking safety was also developed. A third model was based on the Nagant M. 1886 with a double-action simplified lock and a non-fluted 20mm longer barrel.
