The MC51K is a British-American battle carbine developed from the MC51 and the HK MP5KA3.

The MC51K is often called HK51K, however it is not produced nor endorsed by HK. The name fits the HK system for naming firearms at the time, with the 5 standing for a compact firearm, the 1 standing for the 7.62x51mm cartridge, and the K meaning "Kurz," or "short."

Variants

MC-51 Original production model converted from the HK G3A4, designed by Bill Fleming under contract by FR Ordnance. MC-51K Purported compact MC-51 with shortened barrel and handguard, akin to that of a HK MP5K. MC-51SD Purported suppressed MC-51 conversion with a integrated HK MP5SD suppressor.
