Overview

The KV-221, also known as T-221, is an experimental heavy tank design based on the KV-1. It was a lengthened hull with 7 roadwheels per side instead of 6. The KV-221 was designed to have an unknown 85mm main gun.

Series production was intended to start in late 1941, but the German invasion of Russia halted these plans and the only prototype hull - of an unknown KV-3 variant - was destroyed.
