The Gepard is a prototype Russian personal defense weapon developed in the mid 1990s from the AKS-74U. The Gepard is capable of firing five different cartridges without changing any parts, and if the barrel and bolt are changed there are up to fifteen different cartridges the firearm can fire. The Gepard is also capable of mounting a suppressor.

The Gepard was proposed to enter service with law enforcement or special forces, however it did not enter any form of service.

Variants

The Gepard was made in at least three models, the standard model, a compact model, and a civilian model with a long barrel.
