The Browning Automatic-5 (shortened as Auto-5 ) is an American shotgun developed in the late 19th Century by John Browning .
The weapon was patented in 1900, and serial production began from FN Herstal in 1902 and ended in 1998 with commemorative models in 1999. Multiple other companies were contracted to manufacturer the gun, such as Remington and Savage Arms . Browning released the Browning A5 in 2014 as a similar firearm.
