The B&T USW (Universal Service Weapon) is a Swiss prototype pistol developed in the late 2010s.

Development

Development of the USW began in the late 2010s. The concept proposal from B&T stated that a new service pistol is being developed for first responders in anti-terror operations. The weapon would have a folding stock, an optic, and be accurate over range.

During the November 2015 terror attacks in Paris, first responders were outmatched against terrorists armed with accurate automatic weapons. The weapon would theoretically counter these threats, by providing a compact and accurate weapon that is still capable of being stored in a holster.
